A Little Pinterest Inspiration

 

My friend Megan and I decided to try and copy a pinterest craft we loved.

 

Started out with some letters from Michaels

 

 

 

Some green paint, moss, and spray adhesive (my new favorite thing besides my glue gun!)  I painted the letters green after they dried  I  used the spray adhesive and stuck the  the moss all over the front and sides of the letters.  The green paint helped as it is hard to completely cover the letters in moss.

 

 

The finished result~

 

 

This is not the final resting place for my new "home" sign.  Going to have to play around with it for awhile.

My New Favorite Cookbook!!

 

 If you have not heard of Hungry Girl you must check her out!  She is great at taking things and making them a bit more "healthy".    This HUGE cookbook by Lisa Lillien is by far my favorite yet.  I have made several things from it already and from her website and I have loved all of them and the family has too.  I am not a much of a cook (at this time :) so her recipes are (easy) and quick.   The breakfast "Egg Mugs" are delicious, fast and healthy!  I have connected her website to my blog so give it a click and check it out.  She does a email and is always comparing things you purchase at the grocery store to alternative things that are better for you!  Also does the same thing with menu items at restaurants.  The half hour cooking show is on now and then on Food Network I just checked and it  looks like she actually has one tomorrow morning. ~

Spring Decorating...

I love Easter time as I love all the colors.  This year I have decided to keep it simple well, as of now keep it simple.  I had no idea what I was going to do so I pulled out my "Easter bin" to see what I have collected so far.  I was at Home Depot (another craft project) and found a cute pot already planted up very cute with tulips and decided that would be my theme this year just add a few things around the house and some sticks and grass from the yard and voila.  This is my kitchen table and the bar in my kitchen.   Still concocting some other things as they turn into something I will update my "spring decorating"

Egg decorating is right around the corner and I "think" it might be a glitter theme! OR superhero maybe I can combine the two.

Trying out a new hobby

Today I got a wild hair and decided that I would try my hand at blogging.  I am always doing crafts/cooking/home improvements that I post on Facebook and Instagram and Pinterest so I figured why not start a blog! I know NOTHING about blogging but, even if its just for me to spend mindless time on well then I say.... time to drink champagne and type away..
